Protocol for the Temple of The One

Posted by boedicca on January 27, 2009

Updating an ancient form of hypocrisy, the Obama Administration is using “Waivers” as a form of indulgence for appointees whose lobbying efforts violate The One’s new policy on ethics.    Oh well, what can we expect from an adminstration that appoints a tax cheat to head up the IRS.

George Mitchell, President Barack Obama’s special Middle East troubleshooter, was chairman of a law firm that was paid about $8 million representing Dubai’s ruler in connection with a child-trafficking lawsuit.

Perhaps Al Gore can start selling Waivers along with Carbon Credits.

Vocaculary for the New Era

Posted by boedicca on January 26, 2009

I’ve been on hiatus dealing with the cash flow realities of the New Socialism (RIP American Capitalism).  Time to get re-engaged.

Here are a couple of vocabulary additions based upon the recent Change:

OBravda = The mainstream media in the era of The One.

OBpeasement = The act of appeasing terrorists by according them the same rights as American Citizens.   Please refer to the recent annoucement that Gitmo will be closed and the prospect that terrorists will be set free due to the lack of being “mirandized” on the field of battle.

The latter promises to be Obama’s “Audacity of Hubris” turning point.    If the terrorists are brought to the U.S. mainland, it is quite likely that their court-appointed lawyers will argue that they should be set free due to not being read their “rights”.    It’s highly likely that many of the freed suspects will then seek asylum; their countries won’t want them back or they will argue that they will be subject to torture under suspicion of collaborating with the Great Satan.    And then we’ll have a something that is a real Change:  Terrorists as a Protected Class.
