I’m a near native San Francisco Bay Arean, only by an accident of Dad’s career was I born out of state. Schooled at U.C. Berkeley in Liberal Arts (accepted to law school then changed my mind), I embarked on a long and winding road through the business world, picking up an MBA along the way. I currently work in high tech. All of the scar tissue I formed during the dotcom madness is serving me well. At least in business, experience does matter. Politically, I’m a reformed product of the post Watergate environment, which was especially fervent in the Bay Area. I was by default a liberal in my misguided youth. Real life experience has whacked me with a cluestick on enough occassions to cure me of the cognitive dissonance of the Left. I’m a purple American: financially conservative and socially liberal. IOW, I just want to be left alone on the condition that I leave others alone as well.
